Job SummaryThis position serves as an analyst for the Beach Experience (Beach XP) program for first-year students. Provide operational and logistical support to the Beach XP team. Acts as liaison and provides leadership and guidance to campus constituents regarding Beach XP.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational and logistic support to Beach XP team. Organize and coordinate logistical aspects of events, workshops, seminars, and orientation programs for students.Support strategic communication efforts to students and stakeholders in the program. Develop and execute a strategic plan for communications to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders involved in the Beach XP program.Coordinate activity programming for cohorts and program-wide events. Connect college activity coordinators to campus departments and offices that provide programming.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesWrite, edit, review, and publish reports. Lead large student-success-centric projects, coordinate logistics, and prioritize competing deadlines. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to constituents involving senior administrators, staff, and faculty. Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with stakeholders. Outstanding communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to speak in public. Experience in collaborative planning, implementing and program evaluation. Experience of progressively responsible student affairs work. Excellent organizational, leadership, and management skills. Ability to solve complex problems. Skill in using Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience in using Adobe Acrobat.Skill in supervising a diverse professional and support staff, graduate, and undergraduate student workers. Demonstrate ability to work and thrive in a multi-cultural environment.Knowledge of campus-wide systems including applications of technology where appropriate. Ability to report consistently to work on time prepared to perform the duties of the position. Ability to lift ~20 lbs of materials and carry to various program areas/events.Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."Education and ExperienceEquivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities.
