The Director of Marketing is responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating all marketing campaigns and PR outreach efforts to promote the Advanced AI lab's cutting-edge research breakthroughs and differentiated AI platform features. This role serves as the marketing liaison between the research lab and the corporate marketing team. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to effectively communicate and amplify the lab's research breakthroughs, innovations, and AI platform capabilities to target audiences. Collaborate closely with research scientists, engineers, and the CTO to deeply understand emerging technologies, unique selling points, and potential applications/use cases. Craft compelling messaging, content, and collateral (e.g., whitepapers, presentations, blog posts) articulating complex technical concepts in an accessible, engaging manner. Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, events, PR, and other channels to drive awareness, thought leadership, and demand generation. Manage PR efforts, including media relations, briefings, press releases, and promotional events to generate positive coverage and visibility. Coordinate with corporate marketing teams on go-to-market strategies, campaigns, sales enablement, and consistent brand messaging. Analyze campaign performance using appropriate metrics and optimize tactics for maximum impact and ROI. Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, competitor landscape, and emerging channels to inform strategy. Qualifications: Bachelor's in marketing, communications, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus. 10+ years of marketing experience, in technology, AI/ML, or a research-oriented environment. Exceptional writing, communication, and storytelling abilities to convey complex technical topics. Strong strategic planning, project management, and execution skills. Proficient with marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, common business tools. Self-motivated with ability to work in cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Curiosity and passion for cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and their real-world apps.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical marketing expertise with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. They must be a versatile communicator and strategic thinker capable of amplifying the pioneering work and innovations from the AI research lab. #LI-EF1 #CB #Ind123

The annual salary for this position is between $[229,580 - 243,247] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock options, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
