Communications Specialist

Job Description:

J.C. Penney is looking for a passionate and motivated Communications Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This part-time position at the Associate Level requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in communications or a related field.

Responsibilities:- Develop and implement communication strategies to engage employees and stakeholders- Write and edit internal and external communications materials such as memos, newsletters, and press releases- Manage social media accounts and create content to promote the company's brand- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure effectiveness- Assist with crisis communication planning and execution

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities- Experience with content management systems is a plus
