Leidos' Health Solutions Business Area is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, contingent upon contract award, to support a program for the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).
Candidate must be US Citizen or US Person (Green Card Holder) with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance AND be local to the DC Metro area for onsite work.
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect shall perform the following tasks:
Serve as lead AWS Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing, implementing and integrating robust cloud solutions for information systems to fit within existing systems infrastructure. Responsible for architecting with AWS solutions as well as defining optimal design solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications, and drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, production configuration, unit testing, and production deployment. Will maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends and technology, and have exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments. Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk. Ensure that network architecture and application development methodologies accounted for such as multi-tenancy, virtualization, elastic scalability, relational databases, data storage, data monitoring and IT transformation. Lead the resolution of multi-Cloud operations incidents and problems. Lead the implementation of cloud usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with AWS services. Configure and implement cloud resources to support new systems, applications or other needs within the environment. Identify and resolve issues in AWS infrastructure related to software, systems and applications on the environment. Document and maintain infrastructure documentation including updates, changes or modifications, and diagrams, especially prior to each system release. Improve the manageability, effectiveness, documentation, and efficiency of the organization's architecture. Provide system performance monitoring. Determine the Platform infrastructure capacity needs and provide the current server sizing requirements and growth trends. Provide recommendations for functional and technical architecture of systems, modules, databases, and processes. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and eight (8) plus years of experience in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity or related field or a master's degree or six (6) years of relevant equal experience A minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading large and complex system engineering O&M and DME projects. Will have eight (8) plus years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, database management or operations. Experience architecting AWS solutions including defining optimal design solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications, and drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, production configuration, unit testing, and production deployment. AWS Cloud Solutions Architect-Associate or Professional Certification. Experience supporting Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Infrastructure. Experience implementing and managing security measures, following best practices for data protection and compliance. Expertise in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JAVA, Python, PowerShell, etc.) Experience in AWS security frameworks, standards and compliance requirements relevant to cloud environments. Experience with multiple AWS services such as AWS AMI, AWS CloudTrail, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, AWS GuardDuty, AWS Java SDK, and/or AWS Simple Storage Service. Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies and have experience implementing features such as (multi-tenancy, virtualization, elastic scalability, relational databases, data storage, data monitoring and IT transformation. Strong understanding of networking, security and compliance requirements in cloud. Understanding of aspects of architecture and design of enterprise cloud solutions Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems in a Cloud environment Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with working at HRSA or HHS agencies, highly desired Experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication(s), frameworks, and requirements. Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
