The Engineer III Specialist-Network Operations position is part of the Electronic Surveillance Team (ESU) within the Verizon Security Assistance Team (VSAT) reporting into Corporate Security. The primary mission of the Verizon Corporate Security Organization is to ensure the safety and security of Verizon employees, proprietary information, assets, and facilities.

You will be responsible for responding to all court orders served on the company for lawful intercepts and providing 24x7 technical support.

You will be required to work a minimum of two holidays to ensure proper coverage. Shifts are static until changed to meet the needs of the business.

Supplies are provided during inclement weather in the event employees must remain onsite to maintain the operation.

Active security clearance with the willingness to adhere to all ongoing requirements to maintain cleared status as it is a requirement of the position.
Maintaining the confidentiality and security of court orders served on the company and following all of the applicable laws and Verizon policies governing lawful intercepts.

Validating, logging and responding to all court orders for lawful intercepts and historical records.

Provisioning, renewing and de-provisioning all lawfully authorized intercepts.

Comprehensive understanding of 4G Legacy and 5G Stand Alone CALEA systems used to identify intercept access point failures, collection function outages, device switches, service changes and network access function health.

Answering calls and conducting all necessary follow-up calls in order to answer questions, provide status updates, and/or resolve any other intercept related situations.

Using analytical skills to evaluate and simplify complex information contained in the legal process in order to comply with such legal demands.

Acting as a liaison between law enforcement and interdepartmental organizations within the network when a surveillance issue is reported.

Using various network applications/databases including but not limited to:

MTAS, MARS, ACSS, SMART, RSSX, RTT and NEUSTAR.

Sustaining a working knowledge of all systems, applications and procedures that are required to handle exigent situations to provide backup if/when necessary.
