Apps and Cloud Architect
Responsible for implementing the Application Modernization to Cloud
The Apps Modernization and Cloud Architect supports customers on their application journey to private/public cloud by identifying challenges and implementing on the appropriate cloud platforms along with technical and operational solutions for applications and services as they are migrated to the cloud or for new application as they are developed on the cloud.
The App Modernization and Cloud Architect will: Analyse client's existing applications stack and infrastructure and build solution for target using cloud patterns and best practices
Significant depth in applications in the area of .NET or JAVA with a strong applications patterns and integration knowledge
Be the technology SME for the modernization/migration of applications/platforms in the customer ecosystem
Propose and build repeatable patterns for migrating or remediating applications
Ability to adopt modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, Automation testing, Application security and tools
Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation and placement strategies
Be the anchor to the practice teams to bring the industry best practices and enhance our offerings and solution eco systems
Be up-to-date on current and new CSP products and services with certifications and understand how to apply them to business needs
Key Skills Over 7-10 years work experience in applications design and development for both greenfield/brownfield with over 4 years of experience working with AWS/Azure/GCP
Over 5 years of experience in application migration or modernization of .NET, JAVA, databases and legacy to any public/private cloud with using both PasS or IaaS based implementation
Strong implementation knowledge of micro services, APIs, applying event streams for integration patterns
Depth of technology experience in JAVA or .NET and experience across varied patterns with broader full stack experience dealing with node js, devops, IaC, containers
Experience working with containerization of applications and deployment to target orchestration platform like Kubernetes or cloud native
Demonstrated experience on multiple toolsets and adaptability to learn new tools and processes
Good experience on Continuous integration and deployment with source code repos and configuration management technologies and best practices
Experience with performing discovery and assessment of customers' applications with knowledge of solving for target patterns
Ability to work in a cross-functional team, as well as with various stakeholders
Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex cloud concepts
