Description

RIVANNA seeks a passionate human resource professional to make RIVANNA a premier employment destination within our industry. You will work with a talented team of professionals as we strive to achieve our mission of improving global healthcare through innovative medical technology. This role will involve managing the day-to-day HR functions, including payroll, managing benefits enrollment, and contributing to the overall administrative management of the business.

Responsibilities
Support employee engagement initiatives by executing activities including, but not limited to, recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and feedback analysis.
Support recruitment activities as needed.
Maintain the HRIS system, Paylocity, ensuring data integrity.
Payroll management
Assist with annual performance review and merit increase process.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, and refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Liaise with IT and facilities to maintain a properly functioning work environment.
Provide administrative support, including patent management and business operations management.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Proficient understanding of compliance related to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Education and Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience
Comprehensive understanding of employee contracts and applicable local, state, and federal employment law
Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft word and excel.
Experience with HRIS management, Paylocity is preferred.
SHRM-CP preferred but not required.
