As part of this team, you'll be rewarded with autonomy and trust, a collaborative, supportive team, and the chance to be empowered and successful, every single day.Essential Responsibilities:Perform Installation and initial starts-ups and provide 24/7 on-call emergency services as requiredSupport GE Factory Production as neededMaintain, safeguard company-issued tools and equipmentPreferred experience in troubleshooting & repair of electrical control circuitsPreferred experience in mechanical assembly of circuit breakersOperate man lifts and reach fork truckWork at heightCompliance with GE Safety and Customer Site RegulationsSupervise contractors and or customer supplied laborers.Protect company proprietary informationComplete paperwork in a timely and accurate manner including Field Service Reports, timecards and expense reports.Required Qualifications:Associate's degree in Electrical and or Mechanical Technology or a highly related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience manufacturingAbility and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within the US and abroad via air travel and car rentalDesired Characteristics:Ability to rent a carAbility to attain a PassportCredit within good standing to acquire a company credit cardAbility to deal with customers in difficult situations maintaining professional demeanor in order to satisfy Customer demandsComply with all safety policies, practices, procedures, travel and obtain security clearance when necessary.Preferred knowledge and/or experience with high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessmentProven reasoning abilities and sound judgment with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have very good organizational skills to plan work scope, personnel, and equipment logisticsMust be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew, training will be providedMust be highly motivated and a team player; must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversityAdditional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
