Full job description Duties Monitor and track personnel actions and initiate appropriate personnel actions using the approved automated process. Assist with personnel matters such as recruitments, appointments, benefits, promotions, pay issues, etc. Maintain human resources files and complete training in order to be able to run reports and initiate various actions in the automated personnel system. Purchase supplies and equipment using simplified acquisition procedures through the DOI integrated charge card program. Maintain receipts, verify transactions, and reconcile charge card statements for submission to the BLM Agency/ Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC). May process credit card financial code distributions in the automated financial system Serve as collections officer. Prepare appropriate receipts, records, and tracking forms. Deposit monies in strict accordance with Department of Treasury instructions. Reconcile accounts receivable, aging analysis reports, and suspense and unearned accounts. Process refunds and track the status of trespass register and contributed funds. Prepare travel documents (authorizations and vouchers) in the automated travel system. Assist travelers with travel arrangements, resolve complex travel issues, and review travel records to ensure they are processed correctly. Enter and/or validate time and attendance records in the automated payroll system. Resolve complex timekeeping issues and review time and attendance records to ensure they are coded properly. To qualify for the GS-07 grade level, 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 is required. Examples of work experience include but are not limited to: Performing administrative duties in an office such as independently preparing reports, spreadsheets, databases, manuals, and other documents using office computer software applications; Managing records and maintaining a filing system; managing time and attendance in an automated payroll system; Assisting employees with travel arrangements; and experience with developing and formulating budget for multiple accounts.
