The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is looking for an Outreach Specialist for the UniverCity Alliance, who will be an integrated team member with the UniverCity Year program, connecting Wisconsin communities and campus resources to solve local challenges. Under the direction of the University Alliance Managing Director, the Outreach Specialist will connect with local governments in Wisconsin to university resources to solve community-identified challenges.
The Outreach Specialist will support and promote partnership relationships between university and local governments, coordinate meetings, and deliver and assist with planning outreach program activities. This position will also be responsible for in-reach, working with campus stakeholders to implement the program, and matching faculty and instructors with projects.

Responsibilities: Delivers and assists with planning outreach program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences.
