Responsibilities
• Connect with donors and help them understand the impact of their donation• Create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors• Ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory requirements• Setup and tear down equipment at donation sites• Work variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays• Possible overnight travel• Maintain professional communication with donors• Drive Red Cross vehicles if necessary• Be detailed oriented throughout the process• Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Customer service experience• Effective verbal communication skills• Current, valid driver's license with good driving record• DOT certification may be required in some locations• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and physically assist donors• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience preferred• Prior leadership experience preferred
