Role OverviewThe Greater Miami Jewish Federation'sBeWell Initiativein partnership with Hillel at FIU and University of Miami Hillel is currently seeking aHillel Therapist & Wellness Professional. Thisnewfull-time position will provide counseling services to undergraduate and graduate students at both Hillels with the weekly hours split evenly between the two Hillels. This position will deliver client-centered social services, education, training and support for staff and students in a collaborative community setting. They will provide information and referrals to additional mental health support systems and link students to integrated services and resources that address their individual needs. This position will have the ability to also facilitate clinically informed and psycho-educational groups at both campuses. The Hillel Therapist and Wellness Professional will report to the BeWell Miami Director and the FIU and UM Hillel Directors and will work in collaboration with both Hillel teams. Evening availability will be required during parts of the school year (i.e. to be involved with occasional evening programming, such as wellness events or psycho-educational group programming). During the summer months when school is not in session, this position will be embedded in the Miami-Dade JCC summer camps to provide clinical support and crisis management support to staff as well as campers on an as-needed basis. What You Will DoCounseling & Crisis ManagementPerform primarily telehealth clinical counseling services to students.Clinical responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment implementation as appropriate.Interventions may include individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention. Maintain caseload and meet with clients routinely to review progress and accountability.Provide referrals and case management services to clients as needed.Address acute student crises and triage active concerns alongside campus Hillel staff.All services will be provided at both Hillel at FIU and UM HillelDuring the summer months when school is not in session, this position will be embedded in the Miami-Dade JCC camps to provide clinical support and crisis management support to staff as well as campers on an as-needed basis. Collaboration with Hillel at FIU and UM Hillel StaffPartner, support and consult with campus Hillel staff at both campuses in addressing a wide range of student needs.Attend mandatory staff meetings, training, clinical supervision and staff gatherings (at both Hillels and GMJF).Documentation and Record KeepingMaintain professional and timely documentation of services in electronic medical record including, but not limited to intake and case notes, treatment plans, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time.Track and evaluate progress data to measure growth and effectiveness for donors and stakeholders.Outreach and EducationBuild relationships with key referral supports on campus including the university student crisis response teams and/or in the community as well as the university counseling centers.Maintain knowledge of current mental health resources in the Greater Miami Area.With consultative (and potentially facilitation) assistance from BeWell Miami Director, develop and facilitate psycho-educational/wellness programs in collaboration with Hillel teams on both campuses. Topics may include:Stress managementRelationshipsPlanning for life after collegeDepression and anxietyFreshman adjustmentGrief and lossSupport students and staff on wellness initiatives, such as wellness week or wellness programming and more.Collaborate with staff to integrate wellness practices into current Hillel experiences and/or coach student leaders to do so.Provide education and training to staff and/or student leaders on mental health and wellness topics.What You Have AccomplishedIndependent Masters-Level License in Mental Health FieldLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)Experience or training (or willingness to be trained) in trauma-informed services.Experience of training (or willingness to be trained) in anti-oppression work, intimate partner violence, and/or intergenerational trauma.Minimum of three years clinical experience post-master's degree, preferably with young adults.If you do not yet have your clinical license, clinical supervision can be provided to an MSW.Knowledge and ability to respond to psychiatric crises and other emergencies.What You Will BringComfort embedding into a community setting and an ability to work independently as the sole practitioner in this setting.Passion for working with young adults in a campus environment and ability to be flexible with the variety of the needs of the students. Ability to travel to both campuses during the week as well as to Federation as needed. Ability to travel to the local JCC camps during the summer months.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and comfort with HIPAA compliant database systems.Knowledge of Judaism and Jewish culture required.What You Will ReceiveCompetitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace.
