Barrick Gold Corporation is seeking to hire a Tax Analyst. The Tax Analyst collaborates with the Nevada Gold Mines Tax Director and Barrick's Tax Managers to ensure the preparation and submission of U.S. and state income tax returns for Nevada Gold Mines LLC. The Tax Analyst will also rotate across various stages of the compliance cycle, gaining valuable exposure to different calculations and components of the tax return cycle to gain multidisciplinary exposure for growth opportunities. Additional responsibilities include working closely with the Tax Director and the U.S. Tax Department Team to promote compliance, stability, and teamwork. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and timely filing of all required U.S. and state income tax returns for Nevada Gold Mines LLC and other Barrick entities. Work closely with the Tax Director and Tax Managers to leverage technology in addition to automation capabilities of tax compliance and tax provision processes. Work closely with the Tax Director in providing effective, efficient, and timely business tax services to Nevada Gold Mines LLC management and team members. Work closely with the Tax Director in the areas of property tax, production taxes, payroll tax, sales and use tax, and other annual financial reporting obligations and other periodic non-tax filings for Nevada Gold Mines LLC and other Barrick entities. Requires occasional travel to Elko and Henderson, Nevada, as necessary. Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Taxation with a desire to begin a career in tax. Some areas of study in corporate or partnership tax are preferred. Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or have a CPA license. High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment. Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
