Job Description LGC, Biosearch Technologies is seeking a driven and collaborative individual to fulfil the role of Supply Chain Planner to support our production facility in Alexandria. The role will report into the Global Planning function.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities Support Lead Demand Planner in the development of site-based forecasts and subsequent upload within IFS Drive development of IFS Planning functionality to ensure standardised approach to Planning. Understand local MRP process and work with Global Planning function to adopt and deliver a standard planning process. Collaborate with Production (and other functions) to obtain and update key Master data within IFS. Generate Production Plans, considerate of demands, capacity, stock policy, lot sizes and efficiencies. Identify key capacity bottlenecks and work with production to provide mitigation options. Utilise reporting functionality within IFS and excel to provide key metrics i.e. Conformance to plan. Collaborate with production to understand misses to plan with route cause analysis. Facilitate Planning/Production Reviews, ensuring inclusion of key stakeholders and sign off production plan. Support in development of effective communication methods to update on Plan changes, Availability, Capacity, Risks, and mitigation strategies. Utilise IFS exception messages to maintain availability and address shortages. Create Supply aspect of SIOP review process and present in monthly meetings. Support in inventory analysis. Optimising data, report on changes and highlight excess risks. Work closely with Logistics function to assess the impact on production plans vs warehouse capacity. Qualifications 3 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning related roles Supply management experience with a Planning bias IFS experience – Planning, manufacturing, purchasing modules. Understanding of SIOP Local site/product knowledge would be advantageous. Other skills and abilities: Experience of working with a large global organisation with multiple manufacturing sites Excellent communication skills Self-motivated and able to work remotely with limited guidance.
