Sr Business Finance Analyst II Job ID 61508 PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Commercial Asphalt and Roofing Finance Senior Analyst provides financial leadership for the Roofing & Asphalt business. This role partners with internal stakeholders within the Roofing & Asphalt business unit, Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain & Sourcing organizations, and corporate finance functions to provide a comprehensive view of the segment's financial results, forecasts, long range plans and operations plans. It is a key liaison between FP&A, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Sourcing.  This position provides valuable decision support analysis to drive business success.

Reports to: Roofing Director of FP&A
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Live the Safety standard, adhere to the safety responsibilities. Adhere to Owens Corning safety policies and personal safety action plan at all times. Drive the financial performance of the External Asphalt business segment. Provides objective insights, timely reporting, effective analysis and overall finance support to ensure productive management reviews, financially based decisions and proactive response to market conditions. Maximizes profitability, margin realization, cash flow, working capital and fixed asset utilization.Identifies risks and ensure accountable action plans are in place to mitigate. Business Planning: create accurate forecasts that inform leadership of the most likely range of outcomes for the business. Collaborates with Supply Chain, Sourcing and Manufacturing in developing actionable plans and forecasts.Produces credible and fact-based business projections via operations planning and financial forecasting.Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan, forecast, and prior year.Provides risk analysis for contingency planning.Maintains knowledge of the segment's competitive environment, market conditions, customers, and profit drivers. Reporting & Analysis: communicate financial and business performance clearly and with impact. Delivers concise and effective reporting of financial results in a timely manner.Provides financial analytics and insightful reporting of Sourcing & Supply Chain KPIs.Develops analytics that anticipate change, drive decision making and allow execution of the business segment's strategy and operating plan. Business Process Excellence: lead the continuous improvement of systems, tools, and methodologies. Designs and owns an efficient and effective financial forecasting process.Implements and maintains best-in-class reporting. Leverages investments in technology tools to continue to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.Ensures compliance with OC Financial Standards and partners with Accounting to maintain proper controls environment. Lead and influence across the Company, business unit, and Finance function. Influences cross-functional leadership teams to enable better decision making and drive business performance.Teaches financial acumen and business information concepts to ensure that financial based decision-making occurs at every level of the business.Shares business and financial best practices across the segment, group and Company. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline.5+ years progressive financial analysis experience in a manufacturing/corporate environment.Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements.Demonstrates significant experience utilizing advanced functionality of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrates experience utilizing SAP, Power BI, or similar systems. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Post-graduate education or certification preferred – MBA, CPA, etc.Demonstrated process focused and organized work style.Functioning in a highly-matrixed structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries.Developing business cases and enrolling leaders at all levels in taking appropriate action.Demonstrated rate of growth and success in prior roles.Experience with commercial or customer analysis, forecasting, and reporting. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong financial and analytical acumen.Understands corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles, understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics, principles of cost control/management.Able to leverage knowledge of customers, competition, and the market to drive business decisions.Able to connect multiple points of view and inputs to develop near and long-term actions.Effective listening skills, with flexibility in approach to solutions.Must be a self-starter, be an active participant on teams, and proactively meet with internal or external customers to meet their needs.Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately.Highly motivated and results driven with a high energy level and bias for proactive action.Ability to develop strong partnership / teambuilding relationships. Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment.#LI-SN1
