Qualifications Job Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related Science field such as microbiology, immunology, histo-technology, immunohematology, etc.Must also have a Certificate in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Sciences Or + Associate's degree with a Certificate in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Sciences with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory. + Experience with molecular diagnostic techniques is preferred. + Out-of-State applicants must have proof of application as a candidate for acceptance as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist, as granted by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) Desired: + Preferred at least 3 years of experience as a medical technician or medical specialist Job Concepts Job Summary: Medical Laboratory Technicians/Scientists perform patient testing and other clinical laboratory procedures that range in their degree of technicality, from simple to highly complex.
