Lab Tech (Onsite: Bossier City, La)

The Lab Tech, under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards.Pay Rate:$17.00 - $19.00/hour Contract Length:3 month contract with the high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors. Shift Hours:Rotating 10 days on/4 days off shift, 12 hours total. 6am-6pm and noon-midnight.Responsibilities:Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties.Performs duties to conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.Learns to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment.Learns to document test data for reporting purposes.Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment.Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.QualificationsSkills typically through eight (8) hours of college chemistry (preferred).Halliburton is an innovative leader in the oilfield services industry, providing products and services for the ever-evolving needs of the energy sector.Since starting out over a hundred years ago, Halliburton's path to success has been built on growth.
