The Senior Solutions Engineer Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Manager Solutions Engineers, this Senior Solutions Engineer will be partnering with two to three Enterprise Account Executives .
As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Okta you will be the technical lead in all stages of the customer lifecycle. You will focus on delivering customer value by aligning customer requirements to business results that are enabled by Okta solutions. You will contribute to account and opportunity strategies, and collaboratively prove the value of Okta solutions through presentations, whiteboard sessions and proof of concepts.

What you'll be doing Support the sales team in helping customers understand what they can achieve with Okta Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using cloud technology Execute the delivery of POCs for customers that have more complex use cases, collaborating with other Okta engineering teams as needed Craft technical content to show customers how to implement specific use cases or standard methodologies for new technologies Prepare demos and proof of concepts to demonstrate various use cases for Okta's Platform Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales Typically 10-25% travel What you'll bring to the role 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience. A passion to serve the customer, which has played out in some customer-facing role like consulting or support, ideally solutions engineering. An ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around a technical topic, ideally on the fly at a whiteboard. Experience with at least one standard network security protocol. (eg. OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP) We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) You are an elite communicator. Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred. Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
