Senior IT Administrator.

The Role:
This position is responsible for all internal and external risk mitigation, system performance, enhancements, upgrades, controls through and around the computer, operating systems etc. Individual will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes. Configuring and managing services, troubleshooting IT issues, and providing direct support to employees for any technology-related concerns.

Your contribution to our vision

(responsibilities):
Responsibility for the trouble-free operation of existing data centers.
Qualitative and quantitative assurance of IT operations and further development of the IT infrastructure.
Support (2nd and 3rd level) and implement of proactive maintenance measures for complex IT systems including sustainable solutions and documentation of faults.
Problem analysis, elimination and prevention as well as planning and implementation of system maintenance, modifications and enhancements.
Project management or collaboration on complex IT projects, sometimes across multiple locations.
Global cooperation with employees from the Meyer Burger Group.
Communication, integration and coordination of external service providers.
Development and implementation of process flows and associated documentation.
Departmental and subject-related user support as well as independent preparation and implementation of training courses.
Independent management and administration of the following central systems.

Basic infrastructure (switches, firewalls, server, storage systems, VMware clusters, ...) - this includes installation, administration, maintenance.
Server systems (such as Exchange, backup).

Supporting the employees of the department in the following tasks
Expansion and maintenance of IT security in relation to infrastructure components and data.
Printer system.
Ticket system (administration, user support, further development).

Administration and maintenance of client systems.
System monitoring.
Asset Management.

Active initiation and design of IT-related improvement processes.
Active involvement in the design and implementation of the quality, environmental, occupational health and safety and energy management system at the site.

You bring:
Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum 5 year experience working in a system administration role or a related field.
Skilled in troubleshooting highly automated equipment.
Independent, team-oriented and decisive work, even under deadline pressure.
Customer Service Oriented.
Ability to multi-task.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Language skills: English

A Plus:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
CompTIA A+/Network +/Security + and/or CCNA and/or MCSA and/or MCSE or similar.
Bilingual/ Spanish.
