As the school health services specialist, nurses assist our students and staff in attaining and/or maintaining optimum health, and promoting positive health habits and attitudesResponsibilitiesProvide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illnessKeep track of students’ vaccination records and follows up with families as neededUpdate students’ medical history and files accordinglyEnsure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)Ensure compliance with national and local health lawsQualificationsBSN preferredLPN as long as they are willing to go back to school to get their RN degree to become school certified (Tuition will be reimbursed)Additional InformationOur people are what makes us Uncommon. Our staff receive best-in-class training, coaching, and support to develop and operate mission-driven schools that provide a high-quality education to our students and families.Compensation for this position: Most candidates who meet job description requirements will receive an offer of $56,000-$60,000. The starting compensation for this role is between $56,000 and $84,000. The starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. To receive an offer at the top of the range, candidates will need significant experience in a directly aligned role.
