Position Overview:
As an SBA Loan Specialist IV, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for all aspects of SBA loan origination in alignment with our policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Operating as a remote team member, you will bring comprehensive knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures to autonomously solve complex SBA loan scenarios while maintaining adherence to both SBA eligibility and bank policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize expert knowledge of SBA loan documentation, collateral perfection, compliance requirements, and more to independently manage a loan pipeline from origination through closing.
Review and ensure completion, accuracy, and due diligence of loan files and documentation, providing guidance to other team members as needed.
Act as a subject matter expert for projects, participate in cross-functional collaboration, and provide strategic thought leadership to drive results.
Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Business Development Officers, Credit Management, and Compliance, among others.
Ensure all required loan conditions are met and properly documented in compliance with bank policy, while meeting deadlines and addressing exceptions promptly.
Collaborate with the Closing Specialist team to ensure accurate and timely funding and booking of loans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of experience in SBA loan closing.
Comprehensive knowledge of SBA, federal and state regulations, and banking regulations.
Strong communication, documentation, and PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with SBA product types such as SBA Express Loans, CaPLine Loans, and Export Working Capital Loans preferred.
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and a team player mentality.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional domestic travel may be required.
Ability to perform sedentary work, operate standard office equipment, and concentrate for long periods of time.
