In addition, he/she will manage and provide SAP ERP technical services for all Newmont- business units. This person must have extensive experience in SAP development methodologies, technologies and best practices, along with strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of SAP developers. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership and external partners to deliver high quality SAP solutions that meet business requirements and drive digital transformation initiatives.Your role will consist ofStrategicDevelop and execute a strategic roadmap for SAP development initiatives, focusing on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP, aligned with the organization's business goalsIdentifying emerging technologies, trends and best practices in SAP development for SAP S/4HANA and BTP to drive innovation, enhance business processes and maintain competitiveness in the marketCollaborate with IT Functional leads and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of SAP development efforts with organizational priorities, requirements and strategic initiativesPlan and forecast SAP development resource requirements based on strategic objectives, project timelines and business needs related to S/4HANA and BTP platforms.Manage and provide guidance to project resources, including third party partner consulting resources, onsite and offshoreTacticalLead and oversee developmental projects related to S4HANA and BTP, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery within scope, time and budget constraintsProvide strong leadership and direction of SAP development teams, including hiring, training, coaching and performance management, to foster a high performing and motivated workforceManage the technical application design, construction and implementation activities for forms, reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements as well as workflows in SAPOwnership of development templates and documents required throughout the projectImplement global development standards and procedures for the process teamsProvide quality control and ownership over all ABAP development activities and deliverablesChampions the evolution and evaluation of SAP development processes to achieve continuous improvement related to S/4HANA and BTP platformIdentify potential risks and issues related to SAP development projects for S4HANA and BTP and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project outcomes and deliverables.Ensure adherence to all internal/external audit and SOX IT controls related to SAP developmentOperationalProvide technical guidance and expertise to SAP development teams, resolving complex technical challenges and providing recommendations for optimal solutions related to S/4HANA and BTP platformsProvide and approve SAP development code changes, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices and security guidelinesPrioritize work of direct reports and oversee the quality and appropriateness of the work performedLead ongoing operational support, maintenance, updates and continuous improvement of S/4HANA applicationEnsure application development initiatives are well managed and deliver on expectations - functionality, timeliness and costAccountable to complete the planned execution of SAP solutions roadmaps and enhancementsTroubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.Your training, skills, and experience checklistKnowledge:Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent is requiredUnderstanding of SAP Cloud Platform architectureExposure to one or more SAP cloud platform capabilities: ABAP, integration, Workflow, User Experience, mobilityProven experience leading and managing SAP development teams, with a track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder managementExposure to non ABAP technologies: UI5, JavaScript, HTML5 etc.Knowledge of FI, CO, MM, PM functional areas in SAPApplicant is required to have a strong development and applications backgroundExperience:15 years of technology, people management and related management experienceMinimum 10 years of experience as an ABAP programmerMinimum 10 years' of industry/consulting experience with SAP platforms, applications and technologies2+ years of any S/4HANA application enhancement and implementationStrong technical expertise in SAP development tools and technologies including ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)Extensive programming experience connecting S/4HANA to other systems and designing in an Object Oriented methodExperience in object oriented programming in SAP S/4HANAExperience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organizationExperience in driving business process improvement initiativesExperience in advanced frameworks: RAP, BOPF, BRF Plus, CDS etc.Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy industry experience is preferred.Skills and Abilities:Must have strong business acumen. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
