As a Janitor - Sanitation Technician , you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our processing areas. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and ensuring the overall sanitary conditions of our plant. Job Specifications: - Job Type: Full-time - Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA office - Pay Rate: $22/hr - Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00pm - 5:30am Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe environment for the plant and surrounding areas.
Clean and sanitize equipment as per the master sanitation schedule and QA PMs, following SOPs.
Keep accurate records and forms to track completed activities.
Manage chemical and supply inventories, notifying the supervisor when restocking is required.
Communicate any situations that may impact production efficiencies to the appropriate departments.
Strive to improve processes, develop best practices, and maintain quality standards.
Assist with projects, special assignments, and occasional production tasks during slow seasons.
Operate recycling machine, crusher, and organize completed bales using a forklift.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Cross-train in lab technician work, including line quality checks and product testing.
Promote and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety and quality.
Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma required.
Experience in an automated production environment preferred.
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends for special assignments.
Proactive approach to task prioritization, time management, organization, problem prevention, and problem-solving.
Knowledge or experience in chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, or food science is a plus.
Ability to stand for long periods and handle appropriate PPE and chemicals.
Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
Safety-conscious mindset, as this role involves regular responsibility for personal and others' safety (e.g., driving, warehouse or plant environment).
