The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is seeking a Research Program Assistant II who will work with our Principal Investigator (PI) and Research Program Coordinator Specialist in day-to-day research and administrative responsibilities. The Research Program Assistant II will provide support and coordinating clinical activities for a multi-faceted research team to ensure a smoothly functioning office, laboratory and good patient relations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities Budget & Financial management Process and generate invoices, bill payments, travel reimbursements, place orders, verify shipments, create purchase order numbers and resolve purchasing-related issues in SAP and SAP Concur. Order supplies for the office and research materials as needed. General Clinical & Administrative Schedule patient appointments for follow up, consultations and second opinions (EPIC). Schedule patient procedures in the OR (EPIC). Assist with obtaining patient records, upload into media and schedule appointments appropriately. Assist provider with reviewing patient results and establish a plan for follow up. Provide routine information to callers, relay messages, and follow-up on correspondence until resolved. Manage daily schedule for myself and provider. Organize various meetings in-person or via Zoom. Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements with conferences for the PI. Assist with logistics/paperwork supporting manuscripts and grant applications. Assist with copying, faxing, scanning documents, email, and mailing items as appropriate. Screen incoming documentation and messages, determine priorities, and ensure appropriate actions.
Clinical Research Organize weekly meetings and agenda to review study participants. Give information about clinical trials to potential new participants. Troubleshoot clinical and research billing issues. Send directions, maps, and other clinic specific information to new study patients. Schedule appointments for potential new participants and study visits for patients on the clinical trials. Schedule procedures in the OR for research patients on the clinical trials. Assist provider with updating and gathering information to submit grant applications. Assist with FDA (CDER) submissions for new IND submissions and annual reports. Prepare and assist with IRB submissions (eIRB). Assist with updating and submitting necessary forms for research study renewals and changes. Help maintain electronic database containing specimen and clinical trial information. Assist in updating research charts and regulatory binders. Assist with data management needs, such as data entry, and updating research charts. Keep up to date on CITI and GCP certifications. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or graduation equivalent. Two years related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Experience with research databases such as E-Binders, RedCap, RITS, CRMS, and SKCCC. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat. Experience with EPIC. Experience with SAP and SAP Concur. Starting Salary Range: Min $15.50 - Max $26.00 HRLY ($34,840 budgeted; Commensurate with experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
