Job Description:
AK Steel Holding is seeking a dedicated and independent Remote Customer Care Representative to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This part-time entry-level position is perfect for individuals with at least 1 year of experience in customer service and a passion for delivering top-notch customer care.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, and chat inquiries in a professional and timely manner- Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers- Assist customers with order placements, cancellations, and returns- Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively and efficiently- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions- Meet or exceed customer satisfaction and service level targets- Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and industry trends- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in customer service or a related field- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
