Summary:
Inspect parts, products and/or processes to insure conformance with standards. Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and defects. Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly. Verifies specified dimensions on product or material by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
OR
at least six months of related experience/training
Ability to read a tape measure and blue prints; or the williness to learn
Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired, but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates with engineering, sales, and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations.
Track defects of homes to establish patterns of nonconformance products.
Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives, and systems are in compliance with company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
WORK SCHEDULE
The typical schedule for this position is 6:30 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
Schedule may vary depending on production needs and overtime, though kept to a minimum, occasional scheduling changes may be required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPETENCIES
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Must have a strong work ethic and consistently arrive on time and per scheduled shift -
