Responsibilities
• Plans schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers• Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering• Procures ingredients / packaging based on specifications and production schedules• Manages supplier service and quality issues and secure credits as applicable• Analyzes supplier and in-house inventory levels• Works with transportation and warehousing on in-coming deliveries• Interacts with corporate vendors, plant personnel, and service providers• Manages significant dollars of inventory
Requirements
• 3-5 years' experience with purchasing/procurement function• Associate degree preferred• CURIOSITY! The desire to make a meaningful difference• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems a plus• Ability to form solutions from analytics• Ability to interact with vendors and other internal partners• Strong communication skills• Knowledge of procurement and materials management practices and principles
