Are you a detail-oriented financial professional looking for an opportunity to excel in project analysis and budget management? We're seeking a skilled Project Cost Analyst to join our team remotely. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project budgets, invoices, and forecasts to ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years of general accounting or financial support experience
3 years of program financial support experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in project financial functions including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis
Expertise in Unanet Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Familiarity with various contract structures and compliance
Above-average proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
Security Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
Ability to handle personal identifiable information (PII) and controlled unclassified information (CUI)
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance
Responsibilities:
Conduct complex analysis of project budgets and schedules
Support various contracts throughout their lifecycle
Coordinate with governmental agencies to ensure compliance with contract requirements
Monitor financial accounts and project spending
Provide project financial data to management
Prepare monthly project financial reports and validate revenue
Maintain internal controls and policies based on contract requirements
Assist with project expense management and business development pricing
