Plant Accountant

Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory accounting. Assist cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard cost maintenance, and variance analysis. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in the implementation of process improvements. Conduct inventory reconciliations and assist with physical inventory counts as needed. Assist in the preparation and submission of government filings and tax returns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of plant financials. Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing changes as necessary. Assist in special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with SAP or other similar ERP systems. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel required
