Network Engineer

MUST:
3 years MIN of network engineering experience within Cisco
3 years of, proficiency in network security principles, and hands-on network engineering experience
Expert in routing and switching, SD-WAN with Velo Cloud SD-WAN being a plus, data center infrastructure, Network Access Control
Solid background in design, configuration, and implementation within these areas.
Experience with the following: Cisco network engineering (their core), aruba (wireless) experience, palo alto for firewalls
Experience implementing, configuring, deploying networking (not just troubleshoot and support)
Strong at the command line
Familiar with ITIL processes , doesn't just make changes on the fly, experience with change control framework
Ability to be proactive looking for risks within the network
Proficiency in network security principles, secure configurations, and awareness of associated risks.
Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, OSI/TCP/IP model
Experience with monitoring tools (i.e. including Wireshark, for issue identification and performance measurement)
Ability to analyze, evaluate, implement, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
Eager and motivated personality

CCNA or higher certification preferred
Legal IT experience
Aruba wireless and ClearPass

DAY TO DAY:
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our client's team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a full time position and will work hybrid out of Pittsburgh. This role will sit within the Network Services and Communications Team and report to the Manager of Network Services. You will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining the firm's network infrastructure. You will be configuring hardware, ensuring security protocols, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance. Collaboration with IT teams for integration, innovation, and thorough documentation of configurations is crucial. We require our Network team to stay relevant on new technologies, and that's super important for this role. Lastly, the role includes responding to incidents in order to mitigate disruptions a well as ability to contribute to the firm's technological advancement as a whole.
