Material Handler and Fork Lift

Position – Material Handler/ Fork Lift Operator
Job Location – Appleton, WI
Starting Date – Immediately
Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time,
Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd Shift 2:30 pm -11:30pm
Starting Pay – $20-22

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience
This position will assist production and logistics teams by being a servant leader in each of the daily tasks to help make an efficient work environment. The material handler will operate hand pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklift to accomplish the daily required tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operating fork lift and pallet jack to retrieve and place orders
- Working closely with our production manager and shipping receiving staff to load and unload trucks using pallet jack and/or forklift (would need to be certified) loads could be up to 2000 lbs
- Weigh up scrap film record weights on tracking spreadsheet and load scrap trailer.
- Setting up skids/gaylords for thermoformer operators and other assembly production staff on continuous basis.
- Staging materials in organized manner for individual production cells.
- Loading scrap cardboard and foam onto scrap trailer.
- Stretch wrapping pallets and weighing in preparation for shipping as necessary.
- Applying load flags to inbound and outbound products.
- Pulling parts to relieve for breaks on thermoformers (machine that makes the plastic clamshells and blisters).
- Answering shipping/receiving door when that person isn't in the facility.
- Display good customer service skills when interacting with customers/vendors/truck drivers.
- Identifying parts needed from other facility for production and communicating to Logistics team.
- Assist with closing of work orders by capturing counts of materials remaining
- Assist Bailer loading
- Janitorial type duties of keeping the workplace clean including but not limited to; using Floor Scrubber, Dust Mopping, Wet Mopping, Wiping Down equipment
