Manager, Product Specialist - ETO Simplification, Power Systems
The Engineered-To-Order (ETO) simplification team works closely with the Offer, Sales & Global Supply Chain (GSC) teams to streamline engineering & manufacturing processes, aligning with customer demand to reduce product lead times. At the core of this team are Product Specialists, who conduct thorough analyses of simplification projects to assess feasibility and measure impact. We are seeking a leader to oversee this talented team of Engineers and contribute individually to support one of the ETO portfolios, such as Switchboard, Switchgear, LVMCC, Panelboards, or Medium Voltage. The role will report to Leader, ETO simplification. Key deliverables:
In the role of Manager,
Lead the team to drive high performance by appreciation, coaching & evaluation. Collaborate with the ETO Simplification leader, Product leads, and Product specialists to effectively allocate resources, ensuring that project are delivered on-time & within budgets. Elevate the visibility of the Mechanical Optimization team by showcasing key initiatives and projects to the broader Power Systems and Schneider Electric teams. Collaboratively define the performance metrics for the team & report them regularly to the wider ETO simplification team. Drive continuous improvement actions based on One Voice results. In the role of Individual contributor,
Participate in project support activities including but not limited to project scope definition and impact measurement criteria; content testing and Bill of Materials /drawing validation. Coordinate monthly project status and issue resolution reporting for ETO product lines Provide investigation and resolution support for reported engineering/manufacturing issues Effective leadership in guiding the team to achieve stated objectives. Proven passion for mentorship and talent development. Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams. Solid and pragmatic problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of standard engineering tools - Order Editor, ACETree, SEE XP, AutoCad, Creo, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines. Location & Travel:
This hybrid role is based in proximity to one of the ETO manufacturing plants, including El Paso, TX; Seneca, SC; Columbia, SC; Smyrna, TN.
