We are seeking a professional like you to manage the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of Production area personnel through active engagement of employees via BASF's four strategic pillars: EHS, Quality, Cost of Capital, & People. As the Production Lead Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring there is a minimal loss of time and material during each production campaign and that all work is completed safely, timely and effectively ensuring that the production schedule is achieved with minimum product quality variation from standards.
As a Lead Supervisor, You Create Chemistry By... Supervising daily safety issues, document incidents, and manage cases promptly and thoroughly as well as supporting and adhering to Responsible Care®, EPA, and OSHA initiatives, ensuring the protection of employees, contractors, visitors, and the environment. Leading contact supervisors and operators in daily shift discussions, reviewing safety messages, assigning work, and prioritizing assignments. You will also identify training needs for operators and ensure it is provided in a timely manner. Coordinating operations for asset optimization, collaborating with daily execution teams to achieve Maintenance Process Improvements (MPI), as well as assisting in the coordination, planning, and execution of daily maintenance and shutdown work. Directly supervising contact supervisors and operators, meeting product quality targets, and proactively participating in root cause investigations. You will develop and mentor contact supervisors to establish goals and objectives for yearly performance evaluation. Reviewing production reports and providing technical guidance for the production plan. If you... Have a Bachelor's degree or High School. Candidates that possess a bachelor's degree will be considered with 5 years of experience. For candidates with GED will be considered with 10+ years of experience. Have solid communication and interpersonal skills as well as initiative and if you can drive for results solving complex problems. Possess proficiency in a variety of computer applications including e-mail, production reporting (AE database), SAP and Microsoft Office. Process knowledge and technical experience in providing technical and administrative guidance to operations, maintenance, and other areas of the business in support of the production plan.
