Job Tittle: JourneymanConfiguration Manager
In this role, you will provide Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Program/Project, Requirements Analysis, Risk Management, and Software Engineering support services in accordance with the program's Configuration Management Plan, AF SEAM Configuration Management processes, program development/sustainment contracts, and PMO practices. You will support activities ranging across the Configuration Management (CM), Quality Assurance (QA), Program/Project, Requirements Analysis, Risk Management, and Software Engineering activities outlined in the task order PWS. Activities will vary depending upon the current activities of the program/system, scope of the current development/sustainment cycle, and other corporate and program initiatives.
This is a full-time position in Colorado Springs, CO working on-site at Peterson Space Force Base (SFB).
Job Responsibilities: Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide CM of all relevant program artifacts / acquisition documentationReview and analyze the Development/Sustainment Contractor's CM program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and complianceManage and support Configuration Control Board (CCB) / review board processes for Program Office, including planning, minutes, and actionsAssist the Government in developing and administering configuration management plans; maintaining design traceability and integrity; convening and managing change boards; and preparing for and attending major events such as, but not limited to, TIMs, PDRs, CDRs, PCAs, FCAs, and CCBsParticipate in cross-functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changesReview and analyze proposed changes to ensure operational and sustainment capabilities are not adversely affected by the changesSupport Engineering Assessments and prepare for, conduct, and/or support major audits such as Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs)Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items.Review, report, and analyze the Development/Sustainment Contractor's data/item delivery status and conformance to CDRL requirementsWork closely with program management, systems engineers, and product support specialists in an integrated product team environmentMaintain design traceability and integrityManage configurations of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and plan/conduct design audits. The contractor must have skills and experience necessary to work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and design engineers in an integrated product team environment.Maintaining a variety of electronic files and websites utilizing web-based applicationsTrack program Deficiency Reports (DRs)Ensures integrity of the baseline including major releases, minor releases, patches, and software maintenanceThe employee will work on base in a sensitive compartmentalized information facility.Minimum Qualifications: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI level clearance
Education: High School Diploma
Years' experience: 7 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 3 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performedAdditional Experience: Configuration Management experience within the Department of Defense environmentExperience performing HW and SW configuration auditsExperience performing the technical administrative activities necessary to manage CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labelingAn in-depth understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the Change Control Board, and change control documentationExperience developing briefings for managementUnderstanding of all phases of the software development life cycleAbility to enter and manipulate data in a databaseAdditional Qualifications: MC2S platform experienceExperience working in an Agile environmentPrevious A&AS experienceTravel: Yes (minimal)
Security Clearance Required: Secret ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI

Salary: $100K-$115 per year
