Experience: - Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. - Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and educational theories and techniques. Examples of Work Coordination of the clinical component of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, including: + Be responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the program director + Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical experiences for the concentration(s) students are enrolled in + Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence + Work with the NAH program coordinator and the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program director to establish new affiliation and maintain availability of current affiliates + Schedule drug screenings and background checks for clinical students + Create student site assignment lists and forward to Program Director for approval and to NAH program coordinator + Update, print and distribute Preceptor Handbooks for each clinical site + Maintain site folders including all JRC-DMS required documentation: + Site license + License renewal for preceptors + Site inspection form + ASHP history form + Ensure delivery of site packet to each location where students are placed. + Continuous monitor clinical student performance through onsite visits and other methods, as appropriate. + Other duties, as assigned.
