Job Description The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented and self-motivated Inspector for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for small diameter water line, lead service line replacement, large diameter water line, sewer line replacements or sewer lining projects and work at water or sewer plant facilities.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, permits and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.  Responsible, as first line of contact and communication with customers, for providing owner (PWSA or ALCOSAN) feedback to customers impacted by construction work on work scope and schedule. Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records in eBuilder system for PWSA or ALCOSAN projects. Prepares daily calculation sheet written records/sketches of work installed.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. 
Tracks quality assurance progress.  Responsible for escalating quality or other contractor performance issues to inspection manager.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. Provides input and support to concurrent construction crews/projects. Participates in constructability review of design documents and lessons learned post-construction feedback. Qualifications High school diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel will be required for this position.  Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (PA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications , experience, and work location.
