We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a School Program Coordinator. In this role, you will assist in the administration and coordination of the school program, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Your main responsibilities will include advising teachers, improving curriculum and instruction, managing discipline issues, and developing staff development programs.
Key Duties:
Advise and assist department leaders and teachers to improve curriculum Design, implement, and evaluate programs to prevent discipline problems Identify areas of need for staff development and assist in designing and implementing programs Supervise and evaluate co-curricular and extra-curricular programs Assist with communication to parents and the community Identify areas where policy or change is needed and assist in policy development Assist with identifying factors that influence the school program Maintain a calendar of school activities Conduct research, develop reports, and complete questionnaires and surveys Manage assigned staff, resolve issues, and conduct performance evaluations Promote a safe, inclusive, and discrimination-free environment Support the overall mission of the District Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Education or a closely related field Two years of professional teaching experience or equivalent Valid driver's license Principal's license from the State of Minnesota Knowledge of district policies, curriculum requirements, and state/federal laws Skills in coordinating operations, maintaining a positive learning environment, and prioritizing tasks Ability to communicate effectively and work well with a diverse team Commitment to the district's mission and values Preferred knowledge of restorative practices, trauma-informed teaching, and special education laws and regulations Preferred skills in implementing MTSS interventions, supporting special education teams, and finding alternative solutions to traditional disciplinary actions Physical/Mental Requirements:
To perform the essential functions of the job, you should have the following:
Mobility to work in an office setting Stamina to sit for extended periods of time Strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds Vision to read printed materials and computer screens Hearing and speech abilities to communicate effectively Working Environment:
