Position Information: NWHSU is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach chemistry in our Undergraduate Health Sciences program. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about teaching, student development and success, and advancing the next generation of healthcare professionals. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for providing both lecture and laboratory instruction.
This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible, adjunct faculty position.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN in person
Course Assignment Specifics: General Chemistry 1 (4 credits) - Fall Term
This course requires three hours of lecture and one two-hour lab per week, on campus. Lecture is synchronous and delivered via hyflex.
Duties: Delivering lectures in a comprehensive and understandable manner Supervise and guide students in conducting experiments safely Assessing student performance through various assessments such as exams, quizzes, and other assignments Answering student questions and providing valuable feedback Fostering student engagement and enhancing their understanding of chemistry concepts What you need to have? Master's degree in chemistry or related discipline, required Doctorate in chemistry or related discipline, preferred Experience teaching undergraduate General Chemistry, preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passionate about student success and engagement Does this sound like the type of role you could excel in?
