Job Description: As an HVAC Service Technician at Schraer Heating and Air Conditioning, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients. You will be responsible for servicing a wide range of heating and cooling equipment, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems. Install new HVAC units and components, following industry standards and manufacturer specifications. Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components to pinpoint and resolve faults. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance to clients and addressing their questions and concerns. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used. Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance technical skills. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency HVAC service. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or vocational training is a plus. Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician. EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their components. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong customer service and communication abilities.
