Duties and Responsibilities : Support the Office of the Provost in facilitating the processing of contracts, salary actions, and overall troubleshooting as appropriate. Will support the Business Partners program and respond to specific needs of the department regarding, hiring through the PeopleAdmin Portal, processing personnel actions referral to the functional areas of Human Resources. Support functional areas as requested including Benefits Administration, New Hire Orientation, Training, Talent Acquisition and Compensation. Coordinates and processes as needed Personnel Transactions including Overloads and Contracts for Regular Faculty and Staff, Contractual Faculty and Staff, Adjunct Faculty, and student contracts. Responsible for the overall coordination of PeopleSoft data maintenance including inputting and maintaining of employee data. Performs data updates, reports as appropriate, troubleshoots issues; assists with implementation of new systems and processes. Reviews and enters changes to included terminations, salary adjustments, and transfers in PeopleSoft as related to regular faculty and staff, contractual staff, students, and Work Study. Processes New Hire paperwork for regular staff and faculty, contractual staff and students to place on payroll in support of the Benefits Office as needed. Conducts Pre-Offer Checks, Criminal Background checks for Faculty, Regular Staff, Contingent I and IIs, Long-Term Contractual and Adjuncts as needed. Completes employment verifications of current and former employees after securing authorization. Processes Personnel Transactions through Personnel Authorization Consolidation Site (PACS) and Statewide Personnel System (SPS) as needed. Provides backup support for the Administrative Skills Assessment Testing. Creates and files personnel folders for regular staff, Contingent I, II, and student workers. Provides support for the Recruitment and Staffing of Nonexempt and Exempt Staff as needed. Generates reports as appropriate. Sends turndown letters as needed. Files documentation in appropriate personnel files. Performs other duties as assigned in the functional areas of Human Resources. Education: A High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: A minimum three (3) years clerical experience, three years of which involved the application of human resources policies and procedures.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities : Knowledge of human resources practices and procedures; modern office practices, procedures, and PeopleSoft experience or HRIS desirable.
