You are a problem solver and continuously look for innovative solutions that can be utilized on projects.We provide a competitive total compensation package, excellent training, benefits, 401K, and career growth potential with advancement opportunities within our diversified company.Apply today to join our Mining team in Hawthorne, NVEssential Responsibilities:Oversee and help coordinate the safety and health aspects for employees and subcontractors onsiteEnsure compliance with MSHA/OSHA and state regulationsFacilitating HS&E related training (e.g. new hire orientations)Assist the Project Manager with incident investigations, site and regulatory agency inspectionsMaintain a good working relationship with project clients and customersRecord keeping, auditing, and trending of data, while maintaining visible leadership in the fieldQualifications:1+ years practical experience in the Mining industry as a HS&E professionalA thorough understanding and practical experience with MSHA regulations, documentation, and MSHA 30 CFRThe ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customersExcellent verbal, written communications, and computer skillsThe ability to provide a proactive approach to safety, to include identification of operational and organizational issues, as well as develop and implement strategies to solve themAn MSHA Instructors certification (blue card) is considered an assetMust have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean abstractSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirementsWork ConditionProject is based in Hawthorne, NV, and accommodation will be providedAdditional Information:Company DescriptionLedcor Mining services reach across the lifespan of a mine, from facility construction, to full-scale contract mining of coal, minerals, or metals, all the way to mine reclamation.
