Supervises work activities of housekeeping staff Provides training, including safety training and standard operating procedures to all housekeeping personnel as directed by management Ensures adherence to company quality standards by inspecting rooms, including deep cleans Distributes keys and work assignments to staff Responsible for departmental supply ordering Authors and conducts employee performance evaluations Addresses guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment Assists General Manager in the selection of housekeeping personnel Assists management staff of hotel in assuring housekeeping staff is practicing efficient and effective procedures Monitors linen and guest supply inventory Reports any maintenance repairs to maintenance staff; records repair information in maintenance log Completes follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms Assumes function of Housekeeper or Houseperson, as necessary Takes control of lost and found items as appropriate Job requirements: Strong management skills; ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals; provides coaching, advice, and assistance as required Maintains professional appearance and demeanor always Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to and accommodate new methods and procedures Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel Ability to build and motivate team members at all levels, excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary to ensure the continued success of the hotel Exceptional leadership and team building skills and ability to develop people · Required Education / Certifications / Work/Industry Experience: 2+ years of work experience in housekeeping or custodial role Hospitality or related industry experience Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro Benefits of working as a Hotel Housekeeping Manager - Courtyard Olympia in Olympia, WA:
