GRANTS SUPPORT SPECIALIST-Infectious Disease Ryan White

Summary:
Meets with patients within the Infectious Disease clinic to determine eligibility for Ryan White funded services. Effectively identifies, screens, and completes eligibility documentation for all eligible patients who are in need of services from the Ryan White grant. Abides by Ryan White eligibility determination policies, provided by the grantor regarding documentation requirements. Reviews, tracks, and manages patient's initial and on-going eligibility for the Health Resources and Service Administration's (HRSA) Ryan White HIV/AIDS program. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:High School graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.Three years of experience in healthcare environment.Previous experience working with highly sensitive and confidential materials.Previous experience working in a team environment.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and/or other databases.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Must be self-directed, self-motivated and detail oriented.Ability to complete detailed work accurately and on schedule.Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
PreferredAssociate degree.Previous experience with CAREWare software.Previous experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system (EMR).Previous experience serving persons living with HIV/AIDS.Work experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting.Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Physical Requirements:May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.Ability to lift up to 10-15 lbs. when needed.Ability to read job related documents.Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
