The LCRA Facilities team is looking for a diligent HVAC Tech II to help us install, maintain, and repair the HVAC systems in our buildings, dams, power plants, sub-stations and telecom sites. You will have the ability to work on a variety of equipment and systems at multiple locations. Our ideal candidate should be willing and able to travel around our service area working alongside our Telecom and Transmission teams.You will be trusted to:- Install, maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems and equipment as needed.- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance including filter changes, belt adjustment and replacement, and coil cleaning as needed.- Repair and replace compressors, coils, motors, fans and associated equipment as needed.- Braze and solder copper pipe/tubing.- Conduct pre- and post-equipment installation testing.- Read and evaluate blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.- Operate, monitor, and makes adjustments to CMMS and BAS systems as needed.- May operate skid steer, forklift and mechanical lifts.- Provide accurate and detailed documentation of maintenance activities, operating logs, and equipment repairs.- Provide on-the-job training and day to day guidance for less tenured employees- Adhere to all safety codes, regulations and best practices including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Electrical Code and National Fire Protection Association- Coordinate off-site maintenance and repairs as needed.- Maintain your knowledge and awareness of current industry standards, best practices, current methods and technologies related to HVAC and facility operations.- Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory requirements.- Order parts/materials as needed for repairs and shop inventory.- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various facilities as needed.- Provide on-call coverage as needed.This general overview only includes essential functions of the job and does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
