DNV - Energy Systems is seeking an Energy Storage Intern to join its Energy Storage Engineering (ESE) and/or Storage & Grid-Edge Intelligence (SAGE) section. These teams specialize in supporting analysis and engineering related to energy storage projects and products.
This internship is preferably based near a DNV office such in Medford, MA, New York City, Chalfont, PA, Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, San Diego, CA, or Austin, TX but the selected candidate may work out of any DNV office in the US. Tasks May Include Working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary, collaborative team spanning the US and Canada Supporting energy storage project developers and battery manufacturers by reviewing their products and projects Organizing customer provided data sets to support reporting and analysis Sifting through confidential technical specifications and contracts to extract meaningful insights for internal and external analysis and presentations Reviewing financial models of energy storage projects to understand how they are financed Evaluating energy storage degradation, efficiency, availability and other performance specifications for alignment with contractual requirements and industry expectations Assessing new energy storage technologies for market viability Supporting microgrid and mini grid rural electrification development projects Supporting production work, including, but not limited to: report writing, remote troubleshooting, and critical review Developing tools and processes to continuously improve quality and value of delivery Overall, we foster a learning-by-doing atmosphere and will develop a program tailored to your career ambitions!
