About the Role:
As the Sustainability & ESG Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainability and ESG strategies agenda across the entire business. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies that directly address our business challenges, leading and influencing change, collaborating with various functions and markets to share best practices, and educating teams on sustainable practices. Additionally, you will serve as the oversight for our sustainability agenda , ensuring effective project management, coordination, progress review, and result tracking across operational efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Sustainability Agenda:
Lead the sustainability & ESG agenda, leveraging influence to drive change.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across international markets to share best practices.
Oversight and Project Management:
Act as a project management office, overseeing the sustainability agenda .
Plan, coordinate, review progress, and track results for various operational efforts.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed of regulatory trends and implications.
Establish adherence to sustainability laws and regulations in our industry.
Assess risk management and implement internal policies and procedures.
ESG Monitoring and Reporting:
Collect data and metrics following reporting standards.
Benchmark with industry peers.
Prepare and communicate company ESG reports/policies.
Respond to clients' Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on ESG and CSR topics.
Building Organizational Capabilities:
Identify gaps and implement educational initiatives to address missing capabilities.
Propose innovative ways to scale new capabilities.
Share and disseminate knowledge and best practices within the organization.
Marketing & Communication:
Effectively communicate sustainability achievements to external parties.
Contribute to the development of responses for complex RFPs related to sustainability.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Sustainability or Environmental Science
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, or related fields
Deep knowledge of global ESG standards and regulations and other pertinent sustainability issues
Experience in sustainability reporting frameworks and benchmark reporting such as ESRS, GRI, CDP, or SASB
Proven success in developing and implementing ESG strategies and programs
Ability to work independently
Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
