Job Description

AECOM

is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to be based in Billings Montana. This full-time position within our Environmental group will work with an existing team to help manage a variety of oil and gas remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will require experience working with MT environmental regulatory agencies, a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits

Managing scope, schedule, and budget for tasks small to mid-sized remediation construction and environmental investigation projects

Building strong client relationships

Client and regulatory correspondence

Technical report writing and review

Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise

Manage project financials to meet project goals

Preparing cost estimates and proposals

Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders

Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors

Responsible for quality control of tasks

Mentor project Jr. staff

Will require some regional travel for field visits

May include the supervision of junior level staff

Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:

Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,

Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,

Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.

Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).

Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.

Manages other Project Managers.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in, Environmental Science, Business Management, Engineering, Geology, or closely related field

4+ years of project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experiences and/or education.

Must possess a valid driver's license, subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Records search

Must be able to pass any pre-employment assessments such as, background check and drug screens.

Preferred Qualifications:

8 years of experience in environmental consulting

Experience working for clients in the oil and gas market sector

Experience working with MT environmental regulatory agencies.

40-Hour HAZWOPER Training Supervisory experience
