We are seeking a full time Emergency Veterinarian to join our current team of emergency associates and specialists in Sarasota, FL. At Suncoast, our mission is to provide phenomenal medicine with warmth and compassion towards our clients and respect towards our referring base. Our ER doctors are encouraged and supported to learn endoscopy, hyperbaric oxygen treatment protocols, among others. We want every doctor to feel encouraged to grow as clinicians.
In addition to joining the ER doctor team, you will be supported by our Internal Medicine and Surgery departments as well as a team of 21 technicians, 5 client service representatives, pharmacy manager, and our practice manager.
Our in-house diagnostics include CBC/chem and blood gas analyzers, coag profile, bile acids, cortisol, Heska blood typing, Scopio digital slide reader, and cytospin. In addition, we have a Vimago CT, force triad vessel fusion, Veterinary PRP/stem cell centrifuge, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, Synder oxygen cages, and a therapeutic laser.
We are looking for someone who is self-aware, self-confident, dedicated, and upbeat with the ability to respectfully direct a team of skilled technicians. Surgical skills are preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be able to work well with a team in a collaborative setting, will bring their own progressive ideas and philosophies to the practice, and help the practice grow.

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university Active veterinary state license DVM or VMD
