Position Title: Director of Finance & Administration Division: Finance & Administration Work Location: Florence, KY FLSA Status: Salary Exempt Supervisor: Executive Director The NKADD is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Director of Finance & Administration. Job Overview: This role is responsible for providing financial leadership in planning and executing the financial goals and objectives of the NKADD, as well as the planning and oversight of all Human Resources activities to include recruitment, employment benefits, performance evaluations, policies, compliance, training, employee relations, employee events, and communications. Maximizing the efficient use of funding to provide services to the community and to constituents is a key responsibility of this position, in addition to management and administration of policies, compliance with state and federal laws, supporting divisional monitoring/audits, advising in matters of employee relations, and training on related best practices. This position prepares all monthly and annual financial statements and manages the financial performance of the organization including updating and adhering to financial controls, analyzing budgets, planning, forecasting, and reporting. Working with senior level management this role will also coordinate the hiring and recruitment process from implementation of recruitment strategies to conducting background checks and onboarding new employees. Duties also include management and administration of employee benefit plans, annual open enrollment, and representation on the self-funded health insurance board. The successful candidate will be highly organized, professional in demeanor, possess strong collaboration/partnership skills, and love working with people. A strong knowledge and proficiency in the advanced functions of Excel and the ability to learn and work in various databases is necessary. The role directs and mentors a divisional staff of 6 and includes oversight of payroll, accounts receivable and payable, cash flow, budgeting, financial analysis, and the fiscal management of a Medicaid Waiver Program. Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating and leading the annual audit process and communicating with external auditors and the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. This position helps set organizational direction and ensures that Finance and Human Resources are an integral part of decision-making and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and present financial matters to the Executive Director, the Leadership Team, and to the Board of Directors. This role also requires a strong knowledge of and proficiency in financial software, the advanced functions of Excel, and various databases. Excellent benefits and generous retirement plan. Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field with two to three years of directly related experience in accounting and finance, supplemented with demonstrated experience in the management of personnel. Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, general ledger, journal entries, budgeting, account analysis, bank reconciliations, etc. Experience with fund accounting and governmental finance practices.
