Job summary
DevOps Software DeveloperLocation: Manassas, VARate: $45 to $65 an hour Depending on Experience, Skills, and Clearance Level - Partial Benefits
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Develop new software components in Java, Python, and Go to meet program needs• Integrate COTS tools, including open-source products and API-driven integration efforts• Containerize existing applications and deploy them using Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
Requirements
• Over 2 years of Software development experience using Java, Python, Go (GoLang) and other languages in a Linux environment• Linux (basic OS comprehension and basic shell scripting), preferably Red Hat or derivatives• Docker/Podman containers• Configuration management, good coding practices, and experience in writing, testing, and deploying production-quality software• Technical problem-solving ability for large and complex software systems
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices• Ansible• Agile/DevOps• Knowledge and experience using virtual machine platforms• Basic knowledge of networking for Linux Patching and Scripting updates within a Systems Change
